King’s College School, Wimbledon

FOCUS:
An adventure of learning and discovery
One of the top academic schools in London, from its foundation in 1829, Kings has fostered a progressive education (one of the first schools to teach science in 1855) and a joy of learning. A ten year masterplan has seen the spacious campus in Wimbledon grow and develop, with the addition of a new music school and a state of the art sports complex to supplement nearby playing fields. Lessons are described as ‘fun, exhilarating and purposeful’ and the exam results are stellar. Pupils are encouraged to go beyond the curriculum with extension opportunities offered through a wide range of academic societies, supporting a high percentage of pupils to achieve top university places.
