International School of Beijing

FOCUS:
A forward-looking learning community
Established by five English-speaking embassies in 1980, the International School of Beijing became independent when it moved to a new site in Shunyi in 2002. Accredited by the CIS and NEASC, the school offers a dual language programme, a blend of academic curriculums and a progressive style of learning responsive ‘to the changing needs of our students to meet the demands of the world which awaits them’. IB scores are well above the international average and can be blended with US High School Diploma. Great value is placed on the co-curricular programme which includes athletics, arts and service learning; two pressurised domes provide exceptional air quality for some of these activities.
