Sussex House School

FOCUS:
Tradition and imagination
Entry at eight years old is highly competitive for this traditional Chelsea prep school, which has been educating boys for over 70 years; the last 30 under the watchful eye of Headmaster, Nicholas Kaye. The classical curriculum offers academic rigour but also encourages pupils to discover and follow their passions. Music and drama are central to the schools’ ethos of a rounded education and sporting activities also contribute to the holistic education, with fencing being a particular strength. The active engagement in extra-curricular opportunities alongside top academic achievements, make pupils attractive candidates to many senior schools. Eton, Winchester, Westminster and St Paul’s, have been popular destinations for generations of Sussex House boys.
