FOCUS:
A dynamic educational community
Quaker values such as reflection, service, stewardship and equity, have been firmly embedded in the ethos of the school since its foundation in 1883, and still permeate the school today. With two campuses spread across Washington, with the lower school in Bethseda and the seniors on a 15 acre campus in the city, there is plenty of scope for a wide variety of academic and extra-curricular activities, with over 65 student clubs, 22 varsity teams and over 50 arts performances annually. The school of choice for the offspring of President’s (Kennedy’s, Clinton’s and Obama’s were all educated here), the school does not only cater to the elite as generous financial aid opens to doors to a much wider pupil base.
