A prestigious international boarding school in Germany which has educated many members of European Royal families. Originally founded by education pioneer Kurt Hahn, who also set up Gordonstoun, the United World Colleges movement and Round Square. The school is based on high academic expectations, experiential learning opportunities and participation in active service such as the Fire Brigade or Red Cross. Students learn early on to develop an entrepreneurial spirit, to be courageous and to take responsibility for themselves. Teaching is in German and English and even those who arrive with no German are fluent in a year.
